Depth Enhancement Visualistion for Low Relief Sculpture, or (DEV-low)


This is a new methodology for improving the visibility of depth in certain types of low relief sculpture by utilising 3D models generated through photogrammetry. From these models orthographic images are produced, which are then subjected to a digital photographic processing technique that creates a visual adjustment based on differences in depth. The end result is a considerable improvement in the visual appreciation of detail in low relief stone sculpture.
